So, for those of you who don't know, Nintendo did a pre-Tokyo Game Show 3DS conference today. Or, yesterday my time. So, I have tons of news, and tons of trailers to post here. So the post doesn't get too long, I'll hide details in spoiler tags.

News:

Mario Kart 7 stuff.
Spoiler:
- StreetPass will be used to exchange "ghost data" and challenge online opponenets.
- Ability to steer using the 3DS's gyroscope
- New characters: Lakitu and Metal Mario
- New item: Fire Flower
Boxarts for Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 were revealed.

3DS Circle Pad peripheral details.
Spoiler:
- Adds a second Circle Pad and an R2 button.
- Will use one AAA battery to work.
- Will only work with games with the Circle Pad icon on their boxes.
- Will release in Japan on Dec. 10, 2011 and will cost 1,500 Yen.
- Here's a list of games that will use the peripheral:
  Monster Hunter 3G
  Resident Evil: Revelations
  Metal Gear Solid
  Ace Combat
  Samurai Warriors VS
  Kingdom Hearts 3D
Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword details.

- The game will feature 50-100 hours of gameplay.
- There will be a "second playthrough".
- Will feature a hint system, which is all the rage in Nintendo games lately. (Super Mario Galaxy 2, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.)
- A Boss Rush mode will be unlocked once the game is beaten, which was also featured in Ocarina of Time 3D.
Kid Icarus: Uprising will come out in Q1 2012, along with Mario Tennis, Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion 2, and Animal Crossing. Nintendo says it will be used to further improve the quality of the game.
There will be a 3DS update in November that will allow it to record 3D video. The update will also unclude unspecified improvements to the StreePass Plaza and Nintendo e-shop.
Legend of Zelda Four Swords Anniversary Edition (DSi) details.
Spoiler:
- The game will feature a few extra levels that weren't in the original, including Game Boy and NES themed levels.
- The game will include a single-player mode, which wasn't in the original.
- The game also features a boss challenge mode and optional hint movies.
- The game will be free on September 28, but will be free for one day only, so if you plan on getting it, make sure you don't forget!

I was going to compile all the videos into the post, but then I looked around and saw how many videos there really are. I'll probably make a post showcasing my favorite videos or something, but you're better off looking the videos up on IGN or something.

i don't like the cirlce pad thing, and metal should be a power up not a new character in mario kart. And lakitu shouldn't be either, what happens when you fall of a cliff?

I'm just glad Nintendo stuck with the peripheral rather than the 3DS Lite that was rumored.

Resident Evil, yes. Biohazard is the Japanese name, and it was a Japanese conference, so.. yea. My bad.

wait, 4 swords wasn't single-player?

And Metal Mario? I thought it was a power-up... WHy didn't they include the powerup and shadow mario instead.

And Lakitu lol, it was like the only character who shouldn't have been a character. It seems cool but whatever lol.

Four Swords Adventures (on the GameCube) has single-player. Plain old Four Swords on GBA was multiplayer-only, which is what made it so annoying.

Before wireless technology anything multiplayer was annoying, especially gameboy though. Now instead of a bunch of guys huddled around a 20 inch screen on tiny chairs, there's a bunch of guys reclining around some 50 inch screen (or usually online actually)

I'm not sure if this is good or bad...
