so I never cared for this game. Ever. I thought the Super Smash guy was just using this game as a cool-down project after the whole brawl thing. Then i watched nintendo direct to kill time today and it actually looks good. Then I heard some NOA guy say if you pre-ordered the game it came with a code for the NES Kid Icirus as a 3D classic. I'm pretty sure that's worth $6. Anybody else think this game will be any good?

I went through just about the same thing as you Skralem. I wasn't too interested in it before, when we just saw single player, but after watching the Nintendo Direct videos, it looks like it's all about the multiplayer. And online multiplayer to boot.
Does it seem like a 3D Smash Bros. to anyone else?

don't suggest stupid names like ssb4 SUDK, that's just ridiculous
Ouch! Right in the kisser! I used to be one of the leads in a game called SSB4...we've since changed the entire plan, but still... p.s. I know you didn't mean it.
It looks good. I'm more interested in what the guy who made it is up to now, though. SSB4.
You mean it's done and ssb is getting on the works?

Yup. SSB(4) will be on the 3DS and the Wii U. It'll be cross compatible, and you would be able to vs someone on their Wii U with the 3DS. Also, can't wait to see the DLC for it. Kid Icarus: Uprising too!

I hate DLC. At least the way companies use it. But that's a rant for another forum topic.

admit it, ssb could have $100 worth in dlc and you'd get it. Well at least I would. As for the 3D smash bros thing, it looks more like Nintendo's take on multi-player shooters. The items and stuff looks cool, but what button do you use it with? the D-pad?

I remember the information from the early months of the 3DS' life. SSB(4) has only been worked on for a few days now, and it is still in the planning stages.

The gameplay kind of reminds me of a game I used to play called Cosmic Break.

So I got kid icarus uprising today, and i'm about 22 minutes in.
The controls are weird and very hard to get used to, but the game is overall enjoyable and also pretty funny.

Well, the controls for flying sequences are good, it's just when you're fighting on the ground it's difficult. On that part it seems like I'm fighting the actual game.

Yeah, the ground controls are pretty complicated. But like I said, it just takes some getting used to.

Also I like the game's dialogue, and the fact that they break the 4th wall constantly, even in the tutorial videos.
