Its time for a playthrough of Super Mario Bros X....

THE INVASION 2

Table of Contents (Use search to go to the desired part or back to the top):
  • #1 The Bros. Pad
  • #2 Super Easy Road
  • #3 Super Easy Road -to- Warp to Frosty Frost Frostlands/Grassy Grass Grasslands World Map
  • #4 Grassy Grass Grasslands
  • #5 Grassy Grass Grasslands -to- Misplaced Pipehammer Maze World Map
  • #6 Misplaced Pipehammer Maze

-#1 The Bros. Pad-
I don't know where the invasion 1 is, but well, choosers can't be beggers. I think I got that wrong... anyway. So lets start. I started the game in what seems to be my house I guess, Daisy comes out of the roof's pipe, that is there for some weird reason, and tells me something I didn't put attention to. So I go ahead and grab the mushroom in a table and go the left way to exit that "level". I obviously come back to see if there is something in the right way, and there is nothing, though this wasn't a useless move since the mushroom appeared again and now I had a mushroom in line.

-#2 Super Easy Road-
So I went ahead and just kept mario as my player for level one. I got the fire flower five seconds after the level started, learned how to change characters and I was getting used to the controls, though not so much. I fire some goombas and a koopa that I needed its shell for a ? Block that was on the floor a bit later, and fire some more piranha plants. I go ahead and crouch through every pipe until I found one that works. The one that works has a P switch and I tried getting out of the level with it but it seems that doesn't work, so I just use it inside and grab those extra coins. I'm thinking I'll have a hard time with these later on. Everything else was pretty much really easy as there were not so many enemies and the ones that were there were burned to dead. After I get to the end of the level I grab a flower card, or I guess it isn't a card here, and finish the level. Pretty short to be exact.

-#3 Super Easy Road -to- Warp to Frosty Frost Frostlands/Grassy Grass Grasslands World Map-
So the first 2-way path I'm given, I obviously don't think I should go through a pipe just yet, so I went to Grasslands, noticing these names are hard to pronounce but have some kind of pattern. I bet I'll find a Firey Fire Firelands or something. Oh, and I decided I should change to Link for now, and I guess power him up too, to fire specifically. Here I goo!

-#4 Grassy Grass Grasslands-
Ok so I go ahead with Link and in the start of the level there is this swimming fish so I decide to kill it, I can't go back up because of goombas respawning through a pipe and loose my first life. I loose my second life with another goomba. I loose my third life with the fish, after trying to get a fire flower that spawned in the water because I made it to, after I pass the goomba part. In my fourth life I reach 100 coins and get a one up, and loose it by fallin faily to the water without swimming back up, and I loose my last life because of the fish again. Complete Fail with Link, good thing I saved right before this, so I decide to go back to Mario and his Fire Flower. So I do get better with Mario and loose my fire flower with a goomba. I quickly get it back by going where Link lost several lives trying to get a fire flower. I loose it just afterwards again though sadly. I see a ground ? block and a koopa, which means I have to get it by bumping it with it, I failed miserably by sendint it to the other side. I go up to the pipe. There is a toad in the left to talk to, I talk to him and he says how high pipes can go and I jump and to my surprise an invisible ? block with a mushroom appears, and I grab it. I quickly get the half point and grab a koopa shell and jump through a vine. Except I didn't jump through it, I stopped in place in it and fell. So I lost a life there with Mario, but the check point was just right behind, I lose another one by jumping stupidly to a koopa, trying to get its shell to practice grabbing. I have an extra life for coins and get the hang of grabbing things, kind of, now I have to get hanged with running with them. I go to the end of this part and see how its similar to where the toad was, I jump where the invisible ? block was and as I expected, another ? block appears, this time with a 1-up mushroom. The next part I almost got killed by a goomba who fell into the water below the stage, in where you're supposed to land after you go down the pipe. I go up the hill and notice a green sheell bill appearently that shoots green shells quickly, it helps to kill goombas but its bad if one hits me, I tried stoping the shell that was abotu to hit me but I get hit by a goomba instead, and go back to the midpoint. It wasn't so far though, so I didn't worry. I then remember I forgot about my fire flower, so I used a trick here and used the fire flower and then went for the mushroom, to get another fire flower. Then I went to the end and the 1-up mushroom was there. I then rush through the shell bill and fire to kill goombas, surprisingly no shell appeared behind me because I jumped in one right behind and I rushed once a shell was fired once again and hit that shell, both got knocked out so that gave me time to escape so the bill couldn't fire once more. Afterwards I fore spam'd until the end of the goomba rush and grab yet another fire flower "card".

-#5 Grassy Grass Grasslands -to- Misplaced Pipehammer Maze World Map-
I notice that I seemed to skip the level Frostylands because the icon is right there, so I start to wonder if I should go through the pipe or not... I guess I'll do it later, and I go ahead and go to the weird named level, and change to Peach and test her out, her floating ability might help me.

-#6 Misplaced Pipehammer Maze-
I start the level, and I'm already in the half point? Wow that was fast. So Peach's floating ability was really useful in this part, as I didn't have to risk jumps and have time to think, this is, what, the first level with the "go right in the screen and appear in the left" in this game. I grabbed a mushroom but lost it right away with a bomb, thinking I could grab it without hitting it first. The next mushroom I thought it was impossible to grab as two big red piranhap lants were in the way, but apparently, I forgot the mislogic thing in this level and didn't go to the right until it was obviously too late, I didnt' realize the connection after all, I mean, who thinks they will let you go to the other side if it is getting blocked? Anyway I don't think I'd have reached it, it would have been easier if it just have went to the other side. Well after this I ignored a pipe and went to the water, mistake as I couldn't come up, and be forced to go through the pipe in the other side that had a red piranha firing firballs in it. I won't know what's inside that or if there was something there unless kirby tells me or I replay. Well after that there is this swimming that there is a key in the bottom of the level that I had to grab in an awkward way (down + the grab button, I didn't have to use that before, and it was a key so I didn't think I needed that, but I tried it really wuick for some reason anyway) Then just go back to the top, which it for some reason did faster than without the key, go to the right to appear in the left and done, in the keyhole it goes. Peach was kind of more useful than what it seemed she was. Gonna need to practice Link though. I guess I have to replay this level though, as it just opened a mushroom house way. That means, the next number is that house.

Why play and type if you can smoke and fly?
