Today I watched Men in Black. It was on the usually kiddy channel with shows like BeyBlade and Yugioh and increadibly far behind Pokemon (it's a Canadian station so it's at where ash is about to fight Volkner). Enough ranting on Canadian TV though, this is for general TV. So yeah I was watching Men in Black ,cause it's got Will Smith and Aliens, BUT MOVIES WERE NOT MADE FOR COMMERCIAL BREAKS! It was horrible, you know those parts in movies were the screen flashes black then changes scenes, well that is where you should (if anywhere) start a commercial break. NOT A FLIPPIN' 5 SECONDS BEFORE THE BLACK SCREEN! Even worse then this though was that the offensive form of the word crap was muted out. This was most likely done to keep parents' mouths shut but seriously? you'll mute out s*** but not the offensive form of darn? don't even get me started on the sexual references cause it definately makes sense to keep those scenes yet break up sentences all the time. Here's some examples:
"Ahhhhh *paauusse*"
"Around here your skills mean *pause*"
"Come on man, this is *pause* *pause*"
After this experiance I am now considering netflix, I heard in Canada you can only watch old movies but those are the only reason I'd get it anyway. And for the movie it was a pile of *pause*. Naw, I'm kidding it was *pausing* amazing.
So in order for this to be general discussion and not spam you must post of a time when you watched a movie on TV and how you hated it, like edited part or skipping entire scenes entirely (happened to me watching Tarzan once). Or if you prefer post about how good/bad netflix is compared to waiting for a movie to appear on a movie channel or something like that. Prefferably bad netflix experiances so I can prevent a bad financial investment.
