I'll listen to these after work. Although I'm not a fan of Sonic, I have to admit the the franchise has pretty great music.

I already spoiled the whole game for myself anyway.
Now I prefer the real classics. lolololol. JK I'm varied really, sometimes both. Nostalgia may be involved in some.

They're all pretty good, but I think I honestly prefer the classic ones. Maybe it's because I've been listening to VVVVVV's soundtrack, so I like the retro feel.

The Green Hill Zone remix for classic sounds pretty Normal.
My favorites are Sky Sanctuary (Classic), City Escape (Classic), and Rooftop Run (Classic)

I wasn't counting the first 3 when I said that. lol
I don't know why I'm one of the only ones who likes the modern version of City Escape more, and to me, the modern one sounds more classic. Unless technically modern is the classic one and I didn't catch that.
I'll post my favs maybe later.

The Classic Versions are to make it sound more classic, not like the original song. So basically, Speed highway to Planet Wisp, The Modern Version is going to (or Supposed to,) Sound like the original song.
The Classic Remixes try to add more of a Classic feel, as if you'd hear it in one of the older games. Obviously they aren't going to make it all 16 bit and stuff, but they tried to at least make it sound classic
For Example, City Escape has the tune "Endless Melody" from Sonic 3 for one of the lyric parts.
Something about music. Do not read if you don't want a Spoiler(?):
You can buy most of the remixes in a shop sort of thing. Also in the shop are the Original non-remixed songs, and a LOT of songs that are not levels in the game (Example: His World, Ice Cap Zone, Star Light Zone, etc...) Or At least I'm pretty sure. It'd be pretty weird not to include the non remixed versions of the songs.

So technically like I said in the same post? lol.
Well still, the modern should sound more modern and the classic should sound more classic (like City Escape should be in the middle), still for me, the city escape classic actually sounds more like, modernized even though it's not actual instruments. Something current games actually do nowadays.

Oh no! Why did they remix the classic City Escape? No! I don't like this at all!

If I had to choose, I'd probably choose the original original classic probably tbh.

Double Original!?
There's Original: Sonic Adventure 2 Classic: Generations Modern: Generations
If you're talking about how CGA said they remixed classic city escape, I think he just meant classic as in, the normal song from SA2. That or he was talking about the Classic Remix of City escape for Generations, which remained the same throughout the whole production. I don't know I'm confused now.
