SUDoKu's Nuzlockes Empty
PostSubject: SUDoKu's Nuzlockes   SUDoKu's Nuzlockes EmptyThu May 03, 2012 8:12 am

After watching a few nuzlockes on Youtube, and reading some comics, I plan to do my own nuzlocke challenge, but span it over many games.

I plan to nuzlocke:
Pokemon Blue
Pokemon Yellow
Pokemon Silver
Pokemon Emerald
Pokemon FireRed
Pokemon Platinum
Pokemon HeartGold
Pokemon White

I am having minor difficulties (dying constantly early on in Pokemon Blue), but I'll have them resolved soon.
I will be called Cody whenever possible, and my rival Lynx. My starter will always be called either King or Queen.

Rules
1. I can only catch the first Pokemon in a new area.
2. If one of my Pokemon faints, then I must release it.
3. No trading with my friends.
4. If all of my Pokemon are knocked out, then I will have to reset the game.
I will type the first part soon.

This is quite the undertaking. Good luck.

no offense sidk but you probably should set your goals a bit lower. I'm not saying you can't do this, just that you'll probably end up spending well over 200 hours beating all of those nuzlocke style. I'd also say pick the water starter, they're always the strongest.

Not always. Only in Gens 1, 2, 3 and 5. And I don't have an outside life, so I'd be fine spending 200 hours on Pokemon.

Not Gen IV?! Empoleon is resistant to like, 10 or 11 different types. On top of that being defensive in that regard, it's also a great special attacker!

*is the official defender of Gen IV since nobody else will*

But Turtwig/Grotle/Torterra is overall a better choice in Gen IV.
Also, I have yet to encounter a generation in which Fire type is the best choice.

your both wrong unfortunately, you see gen four and five doesn't count towards my previous statement because by then all pokemon became way overpowered and the gyms/elite four were way easier to beat. But for the sake of argument Serperior is obviously better then any and all other gen4/5 starters.

Cyndaquil is always best choice.

In Gen V all of the Gym Leaders and Elite Four were harder to beat. They had exceedingly higher levels then what your Pokemon should be at that point.

Nah, Skralem, you're wrong. The games didn't get easier, they just fixed a ton of things that were broken with the older generations.

if by "fixed" your referring to adding a bunch of overpowered moves then sure. I'm not saying the last two gen's were bad, but I'm sure they're way easier to nuzlocke then say blue or gold.

I'm actually referring to the fact that movesets in the first couple generations were absolutely terrible. I realized this during my Gold Nuzlocke run. Magnemite is a great example of this.

Talking about Gold and Silver here, Magnemite doesn't learn any Electric moves over 40 power until it learns Zap Cannon at Level 53 [as a Magneton] - which has 100 power, but only hit's 50% of the time and only had 5 PP. The only more powerful moves it could know [in the Johto portion of the game] are Swift, at 60 power, Return and Frustration, Rollout, which admittedly isn't a bad move if you could get it going, and Thunder, which you could only get through TM at the Goldenrod Game Corner - another broken mechanic in Pokemon games - which would end up costing you SUDoKu's Nuzlockes Pok%C3%A9monDollar110,000. In my Nuzlocke, I am at SUDoKu's Nuzlockes Pok%C3%A9monDollar79,560, and I at Victory Road. And I almost never spend my money.

Do you my point?
