Whaaat? That can't be true, Nintendo doesn't even have any African American characters. How do you expect 'em to have trannies? I'm only kidding. Still, who told you that?

| it is true lol Birdo is indeed an man who tries to dress up like a man. The original manual asserts that Birdo was a man who believes that he is a girl, and would rather be referred to as "Birdetta". From this day forward the gender is still a mystery. | |

And perhaps its for the best that it stays a mystery.

| "According to the North American game manual for Super Mario Bros. 2, Birdo is a cross-dressing male who wants to be female, even asking for people to call him by a female name. But the real story, based on references in later Nintendo games, is that Birdo is in fact a female that may or may not have had a sex change operation."
Did you know Midna is a cross-dressing man too?
Well we're talking about Nintendo, I mean they keep us in our mind when it comes to gender. I mean look at Samus and how she ended up.
"If I remember correctly, the latest game from Skip (the makers of Chibi-Robo), Captain Rainbow, takes the whole Birdo confusion to a hideously disturbing level. In the game, Birdo has been put under arrest for using the woman's room when (s)he's clearly a man. Birdo asks you to go to his house and find "evidence that i'm a woman." The evidence, as it turns out, is an item that the game displays as a large question mark. The description, however, says: "Proof that the owner is a woman. It is vibrating rapidly." I now know why this game probably isn't ever coming out in America."
Also Tails is a girl.
Also some other genders that might shock you.
Boo = Woman (Not King Boo or anything, just most of the Boos, the enemies) Kamek = Man
And probably not that surpriseing Ridley = Man. It would have been awesome if it was a female fight though D:
Also I was kidding about the Midna and Tails thing, but hey, you can't blame me for tails.

| OBJECTION! Birdo is a boy but maybe not in all games. Like there isn't only one yoshi but hundreds. Kamek is a man but can be a women i say and quote when kamy the KAMEK is fighting with the puny elder in paper mario two and the thousand year door bowser is thinking "all right hag vs hag. Awesome!" | |

| Kamek is a man, there isn't any variation to that. Unless it looks different in another game and wears somethign girly, its a man. | |

| Allow me to clarify this whole Kamek thing. Kamek is a guy. The female variation of Kamek is Kamella, as stated by Super Mario Galaxy. | |
