Another version of the very popular anime, Fullmetal Alchemist, was released on April 5, 2009. Will this version be as popular?
Now, unlike the real FMA, this one did go all the way following the manga, so if you're looking for the FMA version that is more manga friendly, or you don't feel like
reading the manga, this one is your choice.
PresentationFMA:B did get some change in the art style, and I must say it was an upgrade. Although if you don't watch FMA a lot, you won't see much of a difference, but the art and animation is smoother than the past version of Fullmetal Alchemist.
The music in this one is just great, most of the the openings and endings in this one were good and fits the anime. There might have been some exclusions that didn't fit too much with the video, but they didn't sound that bad anyway, some of them were even catchy songs.
For Brotherhood, the main plot doesn't change, the brothers Edward and Alphonse go out searching for an ''all-powered" type of tool, in which with it, you can defy the main alchemy rules, in order to get part of their bodies back. However, as the story progresses, FMA and FMA:B start getting separated from each other, by FMA going its own little way, and FMA:B going by the manga way. That is the real difference between the two, and both series are enjoyable, and you'd like watching brotherhood if you liked the original and viceversa, although some people like Brotherhood more because it's based on the manga, and well... They liked the manga more. You have to know that in the original FMA, there are characters that aren't even mentioned that appear in the manga, so some people might not like that either and prefer the manga.
ArbitramentFMA:B would be a good anime to watch if you like the first one, mysteries, fighting scenes, or pretty much if you are into this kind of anime, it was made really good and it's totally worth your time. They made a really good job.
