Or would that be technically cheating?
Because I'm really tempted to look up everyone's location...

Also, do you think it would ruin the "suspense" if I looked up what level Pokémon evolve and learn certain attacks?
Like, say, when Snivy learns Grass Mixer or something?

Ruins the suspense in my opinion. But it's all your choice.

EH... I would say no... Looking up stuff up is for the 2nd time you play, not the first time. But knowing you, you probably have already looked up a few things...

It really depends on if you want the surprise of pokemon evolving or seeing a new one for the first time or not. I know I made sure there was pokemon I could catch early on but I didn't really have to there's (in my opinion) a much better early selection of pokemon then other regions.
