There are a few signs floating around pointing to the fact that this game may be localized after all! For one thing, a flyer that was passed around at TGS said that the characters' English names were "TBA". Also, they are using the English translation of the title for the first time. I sure hope this is localized.
Also I bet this game idea started because some Capcom guy played a layton game and as soon as he made his deduction and pointed his finger he was all like "HOLY SNAPPLE I THOUGHT WE COPYRIGHTED THAT" and something started from there.
