8.9 Magnitude Earthquake/Tsunami hits Japan.

I just found out about this, and what a horrible thing to add to a horrible day. (My Mother fell/slipped today and broke her ankle/dislocate something, currently taking care of her.) But Omg.... I can't believe this... an 8.9?? This might hit me harder then a few of you, because I watch the Japanese V-Loggers on youtube.. and I've come to know a few of them.. Great and wonderful people. I just don't know what to say. This stuff just isn't fair, and I don't know why it happens. But please, please, pray for the People of Japan.




I think this event could change our cause for the upcoming marathon..

I don't think we could change our cause now, though. We would need to find a chipin for it. If we take the money ourselves, it would cause problems, like the fact paypal would tax people.

So apparently the earthquake caused a use tsunami...

The west coast is evacuating.

Normally I'd be all SUCKS 2 B U JAPAN TROLOLOLOLLLOLOLOLLOLOLLOLLOOL but earthquakes and tsunamis are serious sheet music. Quakes can just devastate anything in their path, and water is by far the most powerful force known to man.

So... Get well soon, Japan.

Hmm.. I just got an e-mail from First Giving (the website we used in the last marathon) about fundraising for the Japan cause.

I'm sure that there will be a Chip in by the time we have our Marathon started. I really don't want those first giving morons to tax people when the money is going to a relief effort...

Actually jeff, can you go ahead and ask them if they will be taxing? Tell them this is a very serious question and that we want all donations to go straight to the Japanese people. Or else we will need to work with a different group.

and 7.9 aftershocks too, reeeeeally harsh! And hawaii must have been eeeeefffffed, I hope they got everyone evacuated in time.....

But ya, I'll just pop in and say everything's A ok over here in west coast washington, and even if we did get a bad tsunami over here I live on the east side of the Olymic mountains on one of the foothills of the cascades OTL;; No flooding for meeeee~!

Japan is possibly the place I want to go someday more than any other place on this earth. It's a dream trip to say the least, so I really hope that things work out and that the US does everything they can to help during this tragedy.

We've already got one boat out there (I think it's the USS George Washington?) and we're sending over two aircraft carriers and something else -don't know what it is- right at the moment.

My personal philosophy of this unfair japanese treatment is kyogre and groudon, feeling jealous of black/white , unleashed some anger on how they didn't get a remake. I don't know that's just me.

I went to japan like 2, 3 or 4 years ago. I know some japanese too lol.

And jeff, how couldn't YOU know? It was told even here lol.

I'd feel bad for switching the charities. Especially since Tom already announced it to everyone.

Well as you know I have about $51 bucks from Amazon for my game trade-ins. I was going to buy 2 new DS games with the money, Probably Pokemon so I could play with you fools, and either Mario 64 DS or Crono Trigger. But Because Crono Trigger is about 14 bucks, I will just be getting that and donating the rest to the American Red Cross's Tsunami relief effort for Japan.

Anyways yeah... it's not much, but it's something. I thought I'd take one for the team. And besides, I love Japan, so it's money well spent.[strike]
